eight.three.eight.

For the past week my entire class has been required to take a photograph at 8 A.M., 3 P.M. and 8 P.M. everyday. I used my Iphone, Nikon, and Point and Shoot camera for the project. Here it is.

I can definitely see your style coming through in this project. I noticed a lot of formal similarities with light and shadow creating harsh line divisions in the frame, which references back the work in you made in portraiture –especially the self-portrait project and the final. In general, the ones I found most interesting were the pictures showing the interior of your house –probably because I’m just a stalker who likes seeing where people sleep. (Sidenote: 1/24/11 8AM is my personal favorite, followed by the 8AM of the day before.)

The only real complaint I have with this work is the display. I want to see them bigger And I’d like to be able to view them individually. (My internet has a hard time handling two large 8000pixel grids.) And see detail so I can see exactly what books you have on your shelf. And what picture is hanging over your bed. Although, the grid is a nice way to start making day-to-day patterns and comparisons. But it’s a difficult format to take in the pictures. Otherwise, nice job.
